This is the course that makes all you've learned about social justice useable. Our course on Social Justice Skills helps people who are committed to challenging racism and other forms of oppression to effectively navigate dynamics of power and privilege and deepen their relationships across differences so that they can live more grounded and authentic lives. In much of the work out there on social justice the participant learns only content (history, systems of oppression, dynamics of power and privilege, etc.) but don’t always learn the process of putting that content into practice. We need skills to be able to practice the content and to actually embody and live social justice.
With this course, students will get the first two "chapters" immediately upon enrolling. Then other chapters will come spaced out a week at a time to allow the student to practice, integrate and layer the teaching each week. Additionally, students will have the option to ask questions through a discussion page, as well as join a moderated community of "skills practitioners" (that's you!) who are also enrolled in the course.
